About Us

Copeland Development & Construction Co., Inc. (CDCC), was incorporated in 1986 by David and his father Jerry Copeland. Prior to this, David grew up and worked closely with his father, uncle and grandfather in a family-owned general contracting and development business that specialized in federal and state projects.

CDCC has been proactive to allow us to better serve our customers. In July 2009, we hired a consulting firm to evaluate and analyze every area and process of our company to determine how to perform more efficiently. We restructured some positions, created new positions, and hired additional people. We also created and instituted new internal systems that allowed us to be more responsive, perform more quickly, and reduce costs to our customers.

In response to our current customer relationships and growth strategy, we have expanded the areas where we operate to include Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Iowa, Nebraska, Alabama, Texas, Illinois, and Minnesota. As new opportunities occur, we will expand into those markets.

We received LEED Accreditation and became a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) in June 2009, and are committed to staying on the leading edge of sustainable building principles and practices. We are members of the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC), the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), the Missouri Bankers Association (MBA), and the Missouri Independent Bankers Association (MIBA).

Our company, has a proactive safety program, and all of our field employees have been certified in OSHA training classes. We contract with an independent safety consulting company who performs monthly inspections on our projects.

CDCC is committed to giving back to and making a positive impact on the communities where we live and work. We invest financial resources and donate services to various groups such as Habitat for Humanity, local churches, shelters and charities. We have gone on mission trips to Mexico and Brazil where we have worked on orphanages and churches.

The primary goal of Copeland Development & Construction Co., Inc., is to exceed what our customers expect from us and to build all of their future projects. Most of our business is from repeat customers or referrals. This is the result of years of dependability (both during and after construction), and because of the quality and speed of construction.

We have built many projects over the years, but the main thing we have built is relationships!
